Director Project Support

As Charles' 3rd level Manager, I was impressed by Charles' dedication and performance in his capacity as our principle Sr. Instructor covering the Americas with over 20 locations supporting Panasonic Avionics Line Maintenance Staff.

Charles developed course material and delivered classroom instruction on the various aircraft systems, Human Factors, Safety Management Systems, and other related courses necessary to maintain FAA 145 certification at these locations. His ability to communicate course content and engage students resulted in many recognition's from students and their management.

This made him an invaluable resource in the classroom but he was also invaluable as part of the instructional team, bringing an end user perspective into course development and the team. Charles would be a tremendous asset to any training organization and therefore I highly recommend him.

I enjoyed working with Charles when I was a Supervisor of the Technical Training team. He has a solid understanding of the instructional design process, so it's easy to work with him as he understands both constraints and best practices of designing a good training course.

Charles is agile in developing training materials and is not afraid to take calculated risks to improve the quality of the learning experience. I watched him effortlessly establishing rapport with his audience while facilitating his classes. He is a master storyteller who knows how to capture participants' attention while sharing his deep knowledge of the technical content.

Charles is also a natural leader who can not only challenge the status quo, but also work hard to build a better process. This combination of skills makes him a great addition to any training team!

My role in a different department led me to interact with Charles's department quite regularly. Charles was always willing to take on the extra work to help my department get what we needed to produce quality publications.

He always asked questions to be sure we got what we needed, not just what we though we needed. He mentored me many times, helping me understand the complexities of our entertainment systems. He communicated very clearly and was concise. He has a way of speaking to you that is both personal and professional at the same time in order to help you understand the subject matter.

I would highly recommend Charles to any Training or Curriculum development department. He is easy to work with and gives 100% all the time. Even with his busy schedule meeting strict deadlines he was able to help my department. I will always be grateful to him.

Martin Almquist

Director

Integrated Systems Training Center (USMC)

I have known Mr Hutchison for some 8 years, he worked for me for over 2 year in 2012-2014 as a trainer and curriculum developer for Marine Corps Command and Control (C2) systems. I am the director for an organization responsible for providing standards based, relevant training in C2 systems to approximately 2,500 Marines annually from I Marine Expeditionary Force, a Marine Air-Ground Task Force of 50,000 Marines and Sailors based in Camp Pendleton.

Hutch came to us with a strong background in curriculum development and training in other aspects of Marine Corps training. He rapidly adjusted to our unique blend of C2 systems and made progress in one year that has barely been equaled in the four years since he left us (due to a contract change).

He was directly responsible for 7 Programs of Instruction (POI) and supervised two other curriculum developers that were responsible for another 6 POIs. His POIs were used by trainers in C2 systems across the Marine Corps. He set the standard for excellence and attention to detail. The particular POIs he was responsible for developing were the most operationally demanding and technically challenging ones that we have.

We continue to use, with modifications, the original products he developed over 5 years ago. He codified our POIs in accordance with the Marine Corps’ Systems Approach to Training methodology which is an adaption of instructional systems design. His work ethic, knowledge, and project management abilities have not been matched since he left. As a trainer, he was our primary instructor for biometric systems which are used in counter-insurgency operations for population census and identification.

He personally trained several hundred Marines in this system. He also directly supervised and trained two other curriculum developers. Both continue to work for the Marine Corps in different curriculum development positions and owe much of their success to Hutch’s leadership, interpersonal skills and mentoring.

During the time he worked at MISTC, I had daily interaction with him and observation of his activities. He was always ahead of schedule with superior products.

In summary, I believe that you will NOT find another with Hutch’s blend of experience, talent, knowledge, and leadership skills. I would not have had him leave MISTC, his loss was sorely felt. He has my highest recommendation.

I was Mr. Hutchison's supervisor for three years in Twenty-nine Palms. While he worked for me Charles was one of my best instructors and curriculum developers. Charles taught seven different programs of instruction (POI) for weapons and tactics, as well as motorized operations. Charles was able to explain the technical details of all of the weapon systems to students with no experience to those with advanced knowledge and ensure all of them increased their knowledge.

Charles was also in charge of creating and implementing all of the curriculum for those POi's. Charles led a team of six instructors through the entire process used by the Department of Defense. Once all of the materials were created Charles proof read all looking for mistakes or omissions. Charles then used the system, MCTIMS, to create all of the required materials and upload all of the training documents into the system, this allowed all of the United States Marine Corps to access our materials.

Charles and myself also worked as peers as curriculum developers at the MAGTF Integrated Systems Training Center. Here we were responsible for the design, development and implementation of all of the curriculum for over 20 POi's for the systems used by Marines in peace and combat deployments. Charles was key in getting 12 POi's standardized and ready for submittal to the Training and Education Command. Once the submittal was made Charles was in charge of creating new entries to allow for changes that would occur with new software and hardware.

It should go without saying that Charles is a natural leader. While in Twenty-nine Palms Charles was constantly tagged to lead groups in training and the execution of training. Charles was in charge of five civilian contractors and up to ten Marines when executing training. The events that he was in charge of required someone who could think quickly on their feet and get all personnel involved to work together and smoothly to ensure the training goals were met and all safety precautions were adhered to since many of the events included live ammunition or explosives.

Charles was able to not only create cohesive units when working with all levels of experience but also make changes on the fly to ensure all training events were successful and all personnel were trained safely.

Having consistently engaged with Mr. Hutchison both personally and professionally for almost a decade, I can affirm without reservation that his contributions while operating within the accelerated parameters associated with leadership roles are in a positive way, uncommon in nature. Being an intrinsically motivated individual, Mr. Hutchison has historically resolved explicit and implied tasks within his scope; requiring no supervision and exceeding performance-centric expectations.

Additionally, his intuition has reliably enabled him to forecast the potential for divergence from predetermined critical paths; an unusual talent that was exceptionally beneficial to programs within the Marine Corps Training and Education Command.

Mr. Hutchison's ability to adapt continues to impress his peers. His competence in juggling the concepts of leadership and management is refined and effective-a true situational leader; I am confident these attributes has been witnessed within the halls of Panasonic Avionics.

Please consider this recommendation during your assessment and selection.
Feel free to contact me should you desire to discuss Mr. Hutchison's past performance; I look forward to personally expanding on this endorsement.
